The Philippines announced on Friday that it is sending later this month its economic managers to China to promote the government's planned multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects.

In a statement, the Department of Finance said a team of economic managers led by Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez will bring the Duterte administration's so-called "Build, Build, Build" roadshow to China on Sept. 27-29 to promote the government's planned Golden Age of Infrastructure.

The government unveiled the ambitious program in April that aims to create more jobs and realize its goal of economic inclusion for all Filipinos.

The statement said Dominguez and the rest of the team will meet with Chinese officials to discuss preparations for the Philippines' big-ticket infrastructure projects that would be partly funded by China.

The Duterte administration is planning to spend up to 9 trillion pesos (175.7 billion U.S. dollars) on the program, over the next five years.

Dominguez said the "Build, Build, Build" program will be funded by a combination of resources from its proposed comprehensive tax reform program, foreign development aid and commercial loans.
