China has urged India to react "rationally" over the ongoing border issue and to make a "wise decision", Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told the press in Beijing on Tuesday.

Hua said that Indian troops had used "absurd" reasons to illegally enter Chinese territory to obstruct construction of a road in the Donglang area.

China has shown forbearance over the matter and hopes India will make a rational decision, Hua said.
