Guangzhou R&F stunned the defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande 4-2 in the 19th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
Eran Zehavi helped Guangzhou R&F break the deadlock in the 38th minute as Renatinho attracted the attention of all Everegrande defenders and Zehavi sent the ball into the net.
Yu Hanchao equalized the score at the beginning of the second half, which was Yu's seventh CSL goal in this season.
Guangzhou R&F regained the lead just one minute later when Renatinho beat Evergrande's defenders to score the ball, after Zehavi's effort was stopped and the ball went into the forbidden zone.
Renatinhoi got his second goal in the 66th minute, and Zehavi scored in the 84th minute, enlarging the leading gap for Guangzhou R&F.
Guangzhou Evergrande only found the net for the second time at the end of the game through a header from Gao Lin, his fifth CSL goal this season.
Last week, Guangzhou R&F also beat Guangzhou Evergrande 4-2 in the first leg of the CFA Cup, and both sides will meet again in the second leg next week.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Tianjin Quanjian beat Yanbian 2-0, Jiangsu Suning grabbed precious three points by beating Chongqing Lifan 2-1, and Shanghai Greenland downed Hebei China Fortune 3-2.
On Friday, Henan Jianye lost to Beijing Guo'an.
