A Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Wednesday said that China's embassy in Panama has started business.
According to spokesperson Lu Kang, China's office of commercial development in Panama has become the Chinese embassy in Panama since July 13.
China and Panama established formal diplomatic relations in June.
