Liu Yunshan, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met on Wednesday with a delegation of the Nhan Dan (People) newspaper, the voice of the Communist Party of Vietnam(CPV).

The delegation was headed by Thuan Huu, Nhan Dan's editor-in-chief.

China and Vietnam are both socialist countries under the leadership of Communist parties, and they constitute a community of shared destiny with strategic significance, said Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

China is ready to work with Vietnam to implement the consensus reached by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and the CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, so as to promote the sustained, healthy and stable development of China-Vietnam relations, said Liu.

He hoped that the Nhan Dan and the People's Daily would enhance exchanges, deepen cooperation, and continue to make contributions to the friendship between the two peoples, the two parties and the two countries.

Thuan Huu said the Nhan Dan is willing to strengthen cooperation with the People's Daily, and learn from the paper's experience in advancing media integration, in a bid to jointly boost friendly relations between the two sides.
