An 83-year-old man miraculously survived being run over by a light rail train after he fell off a platform in Dalian city of northeast China's Liaoning Province on Sunday.
The man, surnamed Liu, told his rescuers that he fainted and fell off the platform when waiting for the light train at Jinmalu Station of Dalian's Rapid Rail Transit Line 3.
The train driver did not see the old man, who got stuck in a narrow space between the electrified tracks under the train's second carriage.
Firefighters rushed to the site, pulled the man out and sent him to the nearest hospital.
He sustained some minor injuries and was psychologically stable, according to the firefighters.
