San Francisco's Chinatown is the oldest and largest Chinatown in the United States, but with Chinese restaurants and shops sprouting in most suburbs, the area has fallen on hard times.

A new venture called China Live is looking to breathe new life into the community.

China Live is a 2,800 square meter, 20 million US.. dollars food emporium.

It has an open kitchen with eight different stations, such as ones for dumplings and roasted meats.

Much of the decor has been sourced directly from China including equipment you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

It even comes with a special market, where you can find premium teas and specialty products like extra virgin tea oil and starfruit vinegar.
