Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Xiong Bo said on Thursday that the China-Cambodia relationship has become a "role model" of friendship between countries.
Speaking at a handover ceremony of office equipment and a bus to Cambodia's Foreign Ministry here, the ambassador said that the two countries "treat each other equally and cooperate with each other faithfully for mutual benefits".
He added that China and Cambodia are good friends, neighbors, brothers and partners.
Xiong is confident that under the framework of the China-proposed "One Belt One Road" initiative, the Sino-Cambodian relations in economics, trade, investment, tourism, and infrastructure would be further deepened.
Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn said that the exchange of visits by the two countries' top leaders last year have elevated the bilateral relationship to a new high level.
He expressed his profound thanks to the government and people of China for having provided grant aid, loans, and human resources assistance to Cambodia, saying Chinese assistance has importantly contributed to Cambodia's socio-economic development.
