A pair of giant panda twins met with the public for the first time at the municipal zoo in southwest China's Chongqing city.

The baby pandas nicknamed Da Shuang and Xiao Shuang, were born in July, 2016. They now weigh 13.7 kilograms and 13 kilograms respectively and are both in very good health condition.

The panda twins met with visitors in their outdoor playground for the first time on Sunday. Before that, they were living indoor and visitors could only see them through monitors.

Since the twins are not officially named yet, the zoo is now collecting names for them from panda fans until the end of February.

Chongqing zoo started to breed giant pandas in 1960. It now has 15 pandas.
