Young idol Kris Wu and singer Tan Jing recorded a duet to promote the most anticipated film of next year's Spring Festival, "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons 2," a collaboration between legendary Hong Kong filmmakers Stephen Chow and Tsui Hark.

Kris Wu rapped his part of "Be A Good Boy," while Tan Jing lent her vocals to the melody, which is an adaptation from Stephen Chow's favorite song "Love in a Life Time" by Hong Kong singer-songwriter Lowell Lo. Wu said he was very thrilled to work with Tan and her heavenly vocals are fantastic to listen to.

"Love in a Life Time" and its adaptation had appeared in Chow's "A Chinese Odyssey" and the first installment of "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons." Generations of fans in China worshipped this song as their love anthem.

In addition to Kris Wu and Tan Jing, Stephen Chow led the female cast of Yao Chen, Lin Yun and Wang Likun of the film onto the stage at a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday to promote "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons 2." However, due to the heavy smog in Beijing, director Tsui was absent due to a flight delay.

Chow said that himself and Tsui Hark have let their imaginations go wild in creating abundant content for the film while maintaining some traditional elements from the ancient fantasy novel "Journey to the West."

Yao Chen, a famous female comedian, attended the promotion for the film for the first time. She had been absent ever since she gave birth in November. When asked by Chow how she kept her body slim as always, Yao responded she always worked her body, even before she gave birth she worked hard with barbells.

"She has such spirit; she always wanted to keep herself in the best state. So I felt we had not chosen the wrong actress," Chow said. "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons 2," will debut in Chinese theaters on Jan. 28, 2017, the day when China's most profitable Spring Festival holiday season begins. It was announced at the press conference on Tuesday that the Chow produced film will also be released to 370 IMAX theaters in China.
