Li Yanling said she's had plenty of applicants since posting an ad for a "daughter" to accompany her on an all-expense paid beach vacation.
The 63-year-old mother from Zhengzhou, Henan Province is even throwing in an iPhone 7 to the young woman she chooses for her trip to sunny Sanya, Hainan Province.
"I live alone in Zhengzhou … I'd like a warm-hearted girl to go with me between 19 and 24 years old to chat with and take photos," read her post on WeChat Wednesday.
Li explained she's been lonely since her daughter immigrated to Canada and her husband started going on long hiking trips with friends.
"He has his travel buddies," said Li, "[and] I don't want to bother my daughter."
Instead of joining a tour group, Li said she would prefer to travel with a young woman who would talk with her as if she was a real daughter.
"I'm afraid of loneliness," Li added.
But Li won't have to fear as she is now sifting through many potential candidates.
