Shanghai to Kunming trains shorten to 10 hours

According to Shanghai Railway Administration, there will be 11 new railway routes from Shanghai to other Chinese cities, which will become operational starting January. Notably, there will be seven direct high-speed railway routes between the Yangtze River Delta region and Kunming, Yunnan Province.

Originally, the commuting time from Shanghai to Kunming, Nanjing to Kunming and Hangzhou to Kunming were 35 hours and 34 minutes, 35 hours and 23 minutes, and 33 hours and 15 minutes.

Once the new high-speed railway routes are put into use, the commuting time from these three cities will shorten to 10 hours and 36 minutes, 12 hours and 47 minutes, and 9 hours and 47 minutes.
