A driver jumped off a building, after three people were killed in a hit and run accident in Chifeng city, northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Wednesday morning.
Five others were injured and taken to hospital where they are said to be in a stable condition, reports thepaper.cn.
The three-vehicle pile up took place near a middle school in Songshan District, Chifeng, when a black Volvo drove across the junction of Balin Street and Tianyi Roda.
After the accident, the driver of the volvo escaped from the wreckage and ran off. Witnesses described him as suicidal, and he was later found after falling from a building. His condition is still unknown.
Two of the three killed were reportedly students.
The police investigation is still underway.
