Heavy metal legend Metallica will return to China for a performance at the LeSports Center in Beijing on January 18 as a part of its Metallica WorldWired Tour 2017, the band announced on Monday.
From January 11 to 22, the world tour in Asia will include concerts in Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong; with more cities and dates for Asia to be revealed soon.
Tickets for the Beijing concert will go on sale at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
The U.S. band recently announced their 11th studio album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, which will be released on Friday.
The album is their first since 2008's multi-platinum Death Magnetic.
Founded in 1981, Metallica have sold 110 million albums worldwide and scored several multi-platinum albums including 1991's Metallica, the best-selling album since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
Boasting nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards and multiple MTV Video Music Awards, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009.
