Lyu Xiwen, former deputy Party chief in Beijing, has been charged with accepting bribes by a prosecuting department in Northeast China's Jilin province, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Tuesday.
The Jilin Intermediate People's Court will hear the matter at a later date.
According to the indictment, Lyu allegedly abused her power to gain benefits for others and accepted bribes.
Lyu, 61, was expelled from the Party and removed from her post for "serious violations of discipline", according to the Communist Party of China's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
According to the CCDI, she was suspected of illegally selecting and appointing Party officers, interfering in personnel matters and using her job to benefit her relatives' business projects, or to benefit other enterprises in exchange for bribes.
She was also accused of living a luxury lifestyle and attending private clubs and entertainment venues, according to the CCDI.
In November last year, she was investigated by the top anti-graft watchdog for "serious disciplinary violations".
In a separate statement, He Jiacheng, former vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Governance, was charged with bribery by the Ningbo people's procuratorate in Zhejiang province, according to the SPP.
According to prosecutors, he used his job to benefit other enterprises and accepted bribes in cash or other assets.
