The first China-Central and Eastern European countries (CEE) expert-level forum on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage was inaugurated Wednesday in the southern Polish city of Krakow.

During the next three days, about 50 experts from 17 countries will exchange views and experience regarding the protection of intangible cultural heritage at the event.

Participants of the forum will discuss topics related to the history and present state of intangible cultural heritage in various countries.

They will also propose drafts concerning changes in current laws and policies and improvements in management strategies and relevant institutions in order to better protect intangible cultural heritage both in China and in CEE.
