Officials of Consulate-General of China in San Francisco confirmed Sunday that over ten Chinese tourists were injured in a bus accident on a tour of Yosemite National Park in California Saturday afternoon.

Officials told Xinhua that two were seriously injured and they are still receiving treatment at a local hospital while the other eight who suffered minor injuries had been discharged from the hospital after medical treatment.

According to a local police department report, the accident occurred "at approximately 17:35 local time on Saturday." The tour bus was run by 'A Top Line Charter" and a total of 22 people on board when the crash happened.

"Most of the subjects were under the age of 18 years old. The location of the accident was Highway 41 and Road 630, just outside of the town of Oakhurst," local police said.

The cause of the bus accident is still under investigation.
