China has become a source of inspiration for online stars in neighboring Russia, helping them attract hundreds of thousands of fans on social media and sometimes, make a fortune.

Russian citizen Kase Gasanov has garnered nearly 100,000 clicks for his latest video on YouTube by tasting six kinds of Chinese convenient foods, including instant Seafood noodles and suanlafen, sour and spicy rice noodles from Southwest China's Sichuan province.

After a sip of the suanlafen soup, Gasanov, in his Russian-language clip, described the popular snack as the "taste of hell". But after finishing the whole bowl, he admitted that it was actually quite tasty.

Most of the videos made by Gasanov, who lives in China's Guangzhou and boasts 150,000 fans on YouTube, are related to his daily life in China. He said he hoped to be a bridge linking Russia and China.

The Instagram-famous Russian photographer Murad Osmann has inspired couples from around the world with his unique Follow Me To project, featuring stunning hand-holding photos in front of famous sites around the globe.

The project, launched in 2005, has attracted 4.4 million followers on Instagram.. The famous couple also made several visits to China and were rewarded with stunning photos.
