Typhoon Lionrock, the tenth typhoon of the year, has swept through Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the provinces of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang since it made a landfall Monday in Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province.

The typhoon damaged nearly 1,300 houses and 464,900 hectares of crops, causing estimated economic losses of 1.6 billion yuan, according to the ministry.
