Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross made it two wins at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games when they beat the Chinese pair Wang Fan/Yue Yuan 21-16, 21-9 at the Copacabana Beach Arena on Monday.

Jenning, who is looking forward to her fourth Olympic title at Rio, never let the chance go after the teams tied at 8-8 in the opening set. With a 5-1 run, the USA pair claimed the first set with 21-16.

It was much easier for the USA team as they went to a 12-7 lead in the second set. Yue fought a point back but only saw the Americans rally to the final victory as they scored the nine of the following ten points in the set.

Walsh Jennings/Ross will play Isabel Forrer and Anouk Verge-Depre of the Switzerland on Wednesday while Wang/Yue to face Australian pair Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Nicole Laird.
