2016 Zhuhai tennis elite ticket on sale, $100 for whole session

Organized by Zhuhai Huafa Group, the second edition of the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai, the year-end elite event consisting of many of the top female players in the world, launched preliminary ticket sales today offering spectators the opportunity to enjoy the best of women's tennis and entertainment at a most fan-friendly cost.

From November 1st to 6th and at the custom-designed and state-of-the-art tennis center built by Huafa Group at Hengqin Island in Zhuhai, tennis fans will watch a total of 22 matches throughout the week at only RMB 720 (U.S.D106) if they buy a whole session package. The whole session package provides admission to all matches during the tournament week.

The price of semifinals and finals package is RMB580 (U.S.D85). Prices of round-robin within and between different groups ticket are RMB160 (U.S.D24) and RMB80 (U.S.D12) respectively,these prices are arguably the most affordable tickets for a premium tennis event in the world.

"A ticket to this year's WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai represents great entertainment value for fans from all around the world," said Peter Johnston, Tournament Director of WETZ. "You can see the world's best female tennis players competing for U.S.D2.21 million prize money, as well as all the fun, fine food and entertainment offered on site. After the success of the 2015 event,2016 promises to be even bigger and better!"

Apart from the carnival activities of music, dance and art exhibition onsite, the Singapore gourmet event Savour Food Festival will be part of WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai, offering spectators Singapore dishes of top chefs from award winning restaurants.

The unique round robin format event was developed by the Women's Tennis Association and helps promote tennis globally as well as in China, especially in southern China. The WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai was established in 2015 as the last tournament of the season consisting of Women's singles and doubles competition and offering more than U.S.D 2 million in prize money.

It features a 12-player singles field consisting of players ranked No.9 through 19 in the world, along with one wildcard in a four-group round-robin format. The winners of each respective group will advance to the single-elimination stage of the event and the winner of the singles event will receive 700 WTA Ranking points. Meanwhile, the six-team doubles field will compete in a two-group round robin with the winner of each group advancing to the final.

The WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai is a competition mixed with established and rising stars. At its inaugural year in 2015, the event featured three former WTA World No.1 players of Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, and Jelena Jankovic, along with next generation players of Karolina Pliskova, Madison Keys, and Elina Svitolina.

Stefanie Graf, former WTA World No.1 and 22-time Grand Slam champion, act as the Tournament Ambassador for the 2016 WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai. She will come to Zhuhai during the tournament.

All the tickets will be available via the tournament's official website www.wtaelitetrophy.com, official WeChat account and ticket hotline 400 9688 400, in addition to tickets booths throughout the city.

Zhuhai is located on the southern coast of China close to Hong Kong and Macau, and last year was named "China's most livable city" by the Chinese Academy of Social Services.

Zhuhai will host the event at a magnificent venue featuring a 5,000 seat covered center court, a 1,500 seat court, 4 show courts and a total 12 hard courts. The renowned Huafa Group in conjunction with APG Group manages the tournament.
