One poor Porsche ended up in the water for more than three hours. The "optimistic" owner said that he didn't want to bother calling for a tow truck, adding that "The car is already ruined no matter what I do." Hope the owner could get some money from insurance.

Kind-hearted man lends a helping hand

A kind-hearted man could not help but offer a helping hand to some little creatures who have been washed to the sidewalks along Tonghui River under downpours in Beijing on Wednesday afternoon.

Sun said he was just one of the people who helped the little fish back to the river. "Fish also have lives; I just saved as many as I could," Sun said.

Beijing was hit by some of the heaviest rainfall seen in years on Wednesday, and the city's meteorological station forecast that the rain would continue until Thursday afternoon. So before the rain hits again, don't forget to lock the doors and windows of your car.
