China's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Civil Affairs on Monday allocated 75 million (11.19 million US dollars) to Typhoon Nepartak-hit Fujian Province.

The fund will be used for relocation, transitional financial support for locals, post-disaster reconstruction, and other projects, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said.

The fund includes compensation for family members of those killed by the typhoon.

The central authorities have sent a work group to Fujian to check on the situation, and the civil affairs and disaster relief departments of Fujian have already allocated 68 million yuan in emergency funds for disaster relief.

A total of 3,000 blankets, 50 generators, 2,000 emergency lamps and 900 folding beds have been allocated to residents.

Over 34,000 people have been relocated to 573 shelters, the ministry said.
