Police in east China's Zhejiang Province have busted a gang for selling stolen iPhones, with 43 suspects put in custody.

In a case worth more than 100 million yuan (15 million U.S. dollars), police in Cangnan County confiscated more than 900 stolen iPhones, according to a statement issued Thursday by the local public security bureau.

The suspects used phishing websites to obtain the victims' personal information to unlock and then sell the lost iPhones, the statement said.

The suspects even used the information to blackmail the victims or directly sold the information to others, which police say would easily lead to telecommunication fraud.

Further investigation is under way.
