China's track and field team grabbed three titles at the 2016 IAAF World Challenge in Beijing on Wednesday.
The men's long jump was one of the highlights as the China's athletes finished the top-three places as Gao Xinglong, the fourth-place finish at Beijing World Championships claimed the champion with 8.23 meters, Huang Changzhou and Tang Gongchen ranked second and third.
Dong Bin, the winner of triple jump at World Indoor Championships in Portland, secured the title again at this meeting in his second attempt with 17.24 meters while another Chinese athlete Cao Shuo added a silver with 16.98 meters.
China's celebrate in women's hammer throw Zhang Wenxiu pocketed another title with 75.58 meters. Shang Ningyu and Xu Xinying ranked ninth and tenth.
In a much anticipated race, two-time champion in men's 100 meters at Beijing Challenge Justin Gatlin won his third title at the campaign with 9.94 seconds, Mike Rodgers came second with 0.03 seconds behind. China's Xie Zhenye took third with his personal best 10.12 seconds.
In some other disciplines which China's athletes had outstanding performance, Wang Yu bagged the silver in men's high jump, Xie Wenjun took the silver in the men's 110m hurdles with 13.48, Liu Shiying ranked second in Women's javelin throw, Xue Changrui and Liu Xiangrong took the bronze in the men's pole vault and women's shot put respectively.
Two-time Olympic 200m champion and the defending champion of Beijing Challenge Veronica Campbell-Brown from Jamaica beat her teammate Simone Facey to win the women's 200m in 22.29 seconds.
