China special envoy to attend Djibouti, Uganda presidential inaugurations

Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Yan Junqi will attend the presidential inaugurations in Djibouti and Uganda in the coming week, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei announced on Saturday.

At the invitation of Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Yan, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, will attend the ceremonies in Djibouti City on Sunday and Kampala on Thursday, Hong said.
