One of China's 10 most-wanted fraud suspects has been captured, the Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday.

Wen Longjian, 32, is accused of conspiring with others to defraud 35.05 million yuan (5.4 million U.S. dollars) from a corporate accountant by impersonating the head of the company on an instant messenger app in Dec. 2015.

Acting on a tip-off, Shenzhen Police froze bank accounts containing over 28 million yuan and detained 39 suspects, but Wen evaded arrest.

On May 2, police caught Wen in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He is now in custody, pending further investigation.

The ministry has offered a reward of 50,000 yuan for information leading to the arrest of anyone on China's 10 most-wanted fraud suspects list.
