China on Monday reiterated its stance against money laundering, bristling at claims that the country is -becoming an -international center for money -laundering.

"China pays great attention to the fight against money laundering," Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hong Lei said at a news briefing.

He added that China enforces UN conventions against money laundering before adding that China's stance on the crime will never change.

Hong's comments came as the -Associated Press reported on Monday that China is emerging as a global hub for money laundering.

"China was not, is not and will never be a so-called international money laundering hub," Hong said.
