Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, launched e-visa and visa exemption programs for Chinese travelers while visiting Beijing in early March.

The programs are aimed at boosting Malaysia's appeal among Chinese tourists. The e-visa service enables Chinese leisure travelers a maximum of 30 days in the country. E-visa applicants will be able to apply for it online and print it out themselves. The visa-free entry program runs until December 31 and is for Chinese tourists visiting for up to 15 days.
