"Dear Mom, when you read this letter, I will have left. I want to go out and relax, so please do not look for me. At moment you put on your wedding gowns, a burden in my heart was relieved. Mom, you were so beautiful that day. Over the past 21 years, I have never done anything for you. All I want to do is see that you have a happy ending and get to live the rest of your life peacefully. Mom, you sacrificed so much for me and I do not want you to worry about me anymore. I'm grateful for your love and care. I hope you are happy forever. I hope that you two grow old together and are together forever."

A 21-year-old man, Wang Peihong, left this letter for his mother after her wedding ceremony, just before he left home.

On Feb. 26, a special wedding ceremony was held in Songjia village, Weifang city, eastern China's Shandong province. Besides relatives, friends and fellow villagers, the rest of the guests were strangers. They attended the ceremony just to help Wang fulfill his dream.

Wang lived a happy life with his father and his mother. But an accident killed his father in 2011, and in July of 2014, Wang was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Over the past two years, Wang has received 14 chemotherapy treatments, on which the family spent more than 400,000 yuan. The current daily treatment costs reach up to 4,000 or 5,000 yuan, which makes family's shaky finances even worse.

On Jan. 14, Wang was hospitalized due to a relapse.

On Feb. 7, a fever of more than 40 degrees Celsius made the boy desperate. "I really thought I couldn't get through it that time," Wang said later. After that experience, Wang began to think about whether it was necessary for him to continue receiving treatment. He thought, Even if I give up treatment, I want to do something for my mother. Only once she is happy can I be at peace.

In the end, Wang decided to abandon treatment and held a wedding ceremony for his mother. With the help of relatives, friends and fellow villagers, Wang fulfilled his dream.

Wang said that last year, his mother got to know a kind and honest man. The man not only helped Wang's mother look after Wang, but also encouraged Wang to stay positive. In addition, the man also takes care of Wang's 80-year-old grandmother. Wang felt very grateful for the good man's help.
