China's top nuclear envoy says Beijing supports the proposed new UN sanctions against the DPRK.

Wu Dawei made the remarks after a meeting with his South Korean counterpart in Seoul Sunday. He said the two nations agreed that it was important to fully enforce the resolution, which were agreed upon after nearly two months of negotiations between Washington and Beijing.

The draft resolution would require UN member states to conduct mandatory inspections of all cargo to and from the DPRK, impose new trade restrictions, and bar vessels suspected of carrying illegal goods from DPRK ports.
