Paris Saint-Germain's Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has joined Hebei China Fortune, the Chinese Super League football club announced on Wednesday.

The newly-promoted club based in Qinhuangdao in northern Hebei Province described Lavezzi as "the next Maradona" on the official social media account. The club didn't disclose the transfer fee.

Lavezzi, 30, used to play for Napoli where he helped the team win the Italian Cup in the 2011-2012 season. He joined PSG from Napoli in 2012, winning three league titles during his time in the French capital.

Lavezzi has played 48 times for Argentina and scored seven goals for the national team.

Besides Lavezzi, the Hebei club has signed several famous footballers from European leagues, including Ivorian striker Gervinho, Cameroon captain Stephane M'Bia, Sevilla midfielder Gael Kakuta and Australia's guard Ersan Gulum.
