The "Four Comprehensives," the overarching strategy for China's long-term development, has been explained in an animated music video by Xinhua New Agency.

The video, which was made public on Tuesday, features a song that explains how China will comprehensively build a moderately prosperous society, deepen reform, advance the rule of law and strict governing the Communist Party of China.

The phrase was first coined by President Xi Jinping in 2014.

The just-over three-minute video, features an inquisitive girl asking an older man about the strategy. A baby monkey pops in and out of frame in reference to the Year of the Monkey, which begins in about a week.

"Prosperity is the goal, reform is the drive, rule of law is the guarantee, Party building is the key!" The chorus explains to viewers.

"Everyone is equal before the law. Think your dad can protect you? No way!" It continues in a teasing tone.

"We have the Four Comprehensives, the Chinese dream is not far away!" The song ends with Chinese from various professions rallying behind the two major figures and joining in with the chorus.
