Two bicycle rental self-service spots have been set up in Shanghai— one near Metro Line 13's Zhenbei Road Station and the other at the terminal of bus No. 44 on Guangxi Road W where a lot of residential and office buildings are located.
The bicycles are expected to benefit those working or living in the buildings within a few kilometers from the Metro station. Those who want to avail of the service can apply for a card with the Agricultural Bank of China close by.
The first-hour ride is free, and one yuan will be charged for every extra hours after that. The first batch of 60 bikes has been arranged at the two spots. The authorities plan to increase the number of bikes later.
