Defending champions Beijing enjoy three straight wins

Thanks to Randolph Morris' 37 points and 12 rebounds, the defending champions Beijing defeated Foshan 117-103 at home in the 17th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Beijing extended their winning streak to three games.

Beijing's Sun Yue had 18 points and 7 blocks, Zhang Qingpeng finished with 17 point and 7 assists, Zhai Xiaochuan contributed 14 points and 8 boards, and Stephon Marbury added 12 points and 4 assists.

Foshan's Jerrelle Benimon had a team-high 29 points and 16 rebounds, Ren Junwei scored 24 points, Jabari Brown had 21 points and Ju Mingxin added 16 points.

Foshan led 80-78 in the end of third period but Beijing took a 21-3 run in the middle of fourth quarter and kept the lead to the end.

Yi Jianlian and Zhou Peng combined for 64 points and lifted Guangdong over Tianjin 131-108 at home.

The current League leaders, Xinjiang claimed a 99-93 road victory over Jiangsu while five players of Jiangsu scored double digits.

Jonathan Gibson scored a match-high 56 points and helped Qingdao beat Tongxi 138-124 at home, extending their winning streak to three games.

Six players scored double digits and helped Guangsha defeat Aolong 126-114, extending their winning streak to 10 games.

Elsewhere, Shanghai beat Zhejiang 110-101, Shenzhen overwhelmed Shanxi 117-102, Shandong defeated Liaoning 111-98, Jilin edged Bayi 102-100 and Sichuan were 132-108 winners over Fujian.
