A man in Wuhan, Hubei province was so agitated after arguing with his wife that he swallowed a pair of 10cm tweezers. Thankfully, the object was removed successfully by the local hospital, along with three cigarette lighters that were also found in his stomach, Wuhan Evening news reported on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old man, surnamed Hua, was playing computer games at his home until late night on last Saturday. When the argument between the couple started up, Hua swallowed the whole tweezers.

He didn't go the hospital immediately and waited over a day. When the tweezers and the three lighters were removed from his stomach after a surgery in a local hospital, the objects had partially corroded.

Hua said he had swallowed the three lighters two years ago after drinking and feeling agitated.

"It's really dangerous," the doctor was quoted as saying. The sharp head of the tweezers could have pierced through the man's liver and the eroded lighters could have burned his stomach and bowels, he said.
