According to a notice released by the British Embassy in Beijing on Monday, all visa applications submitted on or around the November 11 and December 12 shopping festivals will be processed within the standard 15 working days and, for Priority Visa Service applicants, five working days.
According to standard procedures, the 12 visa application centers rely on the transport system to send the applications to the embassy's decision-making centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Therefore, due to the possible impact on the postal system brought on by the shopping festivals, applicants are advised to submit their documents as early as possible.
