The 4th Trilateral Summit

Tokyo, Japan

May 21-22, 2011

The summit meeting boosted cooperation in East Asia, consolidated popular support for China-Japan friendship, enriched the contents of China-Japan and China-ROK partnerships, and was of great and profound significance for maintaining regional peace, stability and prosperity.

Premier Wen held separate talks with his Japanese counterpart, Naoto Kan, and ROK President Lee Myung-bak.

Premier Wen also travelled to the cities of Natori and Fukushima who were both hit hard by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Premier Wen represented the Chinese people's sympathies and demonstrated China's support for Japan's reconstruction efforts.
