Chinese officials will be allowed to spend more on accommodations for official trips starting January 2016, announced China's Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
Ministry-level officials will be allowed to spend 300 more yuan ($47) on accommodations in Beijing to 1,100 yuan per person per day, while an increase of 150 yuan will be allowed for bureau-level officials to 650 yuan, reported news website yicai.com.
Currently, ministry-level officials can spend 800 yuan on accommodations.
The statement said that ministry-level officials will be provided a higher accommodation standard in 11 cities, including Beijing and Shanghai.
