The Communist Party of China (CPC) held a meeting with foreign political figures and academics in Beijing on Tuesday discussing the Party's efforts to combat corruption.

The Party and World Dialogue 2015 attracted over 80 delegates from home and abroad, according to a press release from the CPC International Department.

They discussed topics including how to encourage clean politics, how a ruling party supervises itself, relations between law and Party discipline, and global cooperation to crack down on corruption.

In their addresses, former South African President Thabo Mbeki, former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema praised the CPC's strict running of the Party and said the dialogue showed the CPC's confidence and openness.

Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the CPC International Department, invited foreign participants to make field trips during their stay in China.
