China's top political advisory body held a meeting on the socialist core values on Thursday.
Fifteen members of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, including Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered speeches on the topic of socialist core values.
Several stated they believe that cultivating and implementing socialist core values is a strategic mission for advancing the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The speeches urged all walks of society to consolidate the spirit of the people, in a bid to provide spiritual motivations for the great cause.
