The third day of the 2015 ISSF Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun World Cup in Gabala, Azerbaijan, was launched by the 50m Pistol Men event, won by the 2013 Asian Champion Mai Jiajie of China, local media said Tuesday.

The 27-year-old Mai Jiajie secured 50m Pistol Men Gold, beating the South Korean finalists Park and Kim on Tuesday. Mai, who had never won a World Cup stage before and whose last participation in a final match in 2013, scored 565 points during the qualifications, and then marked 194.7 points in the final to finish atop of the podium.

This is the second gold for China. The first one was taken by Cao Yifei on Monday.

The competition, which includes 17 events will last until August 16.
