Five people were killed and another three were injured after a car accident in east China's Jiangxi Province, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident happened in Gao'an City around 2:30 a.m. when a car carrying eight people and travelling at a high speed lost control and fell into a field of crops on the side of the road. Five people in the car were killed, the city government said.
The three injured have been sent to hospital. Local authorities are dealing with the aftermath.
