Four medical teams sent by the Tibet Military Area Command (TMAC) to quake zones in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region have treated more than 200 patients since arriving on Monday, according to the TMAC.[Special coverage]

The teams, comprising more than 120 personnel, have handed out medicine and publicized information on preventing infectious diseases.

In Tibet, at least 25 people were killed and 117 injured by Saturday's earthquake, which mainly affected neighboring Nepal.

The number of casualties is likely to increase as access and communication returns to normal, according to the local disaster relief headquarters.

Wang Dongming, vice president of the TMAC General Hospital and a commander of medical relief at the front line, said the quake zone is in dire need of drugs for cold, wound and pain relief.
