Beijing Guoan remained the top of Chinese Super League with an 1-1 draw on road with Shanghai SIPG in the fifth round on Sunday.

Tobias Hysen gave Shanghai SIPG the lead in the 14th minute after he collected a pass from Wang Canchao in the right.

Both sides played fiercely afterwards and Beijing Guoan received four yellow cards in the first half.

Thanks to the substitute Erton Fejzullahu, Beijing equalized in the 78th and remained top of the League on goal difference.

The defending champion Guangzhou Evergrande smashed Liaoning Whowin 6-1 at home as Gao Lin and Elkeson both scored twice.

Zhang Lintong and Ricardo Goulart added another two goals for Evergrande and Liaoning only pulled one back from penalty spot.

Elsewhere, Chuangchun Yatai drew 2-2 at Jiangsu Sainty at home and Guangzhou R&F were 2-1 winners away at Shandong Luneng.
