China to launch website for plastic surgeon qualifications

The Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics is going to cooperate with its South Korean counterpart in building an authentication website for South Korean plastic surgeons working both in South Korea and China.

Chinese patients can register on the website and check whether the doctor is qualified and legal, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

About 1,500 South Korean doctors will be authenticated and registered on the website in 2015, according to the association.

In 2014, there were 37 cosmetic institutions opened in China by South Korean doctors.
