China, Thailand pledge security cooperation

Senior Chinese security official Meng Jianzhu met with Thai National Security Council secretary-general Anusit Kunakorn in Beijing Monday, pledging to enhance law enforcement cooperation.

China is willing to develop friendly cooperation with Thailand as this year marks the 40th anniversary of ties, said Meng, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

He hoped law enforcement departments in both countries enhance practical cooperation to contribute to regional security and stability.

Anusit said his country was willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in all fields, and improve partnership in law enforcement and security.
