(ECNS) - Macao will invest $3.2 billion to construct a Batman-themed amusement park with support from Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., according to the Taiwan-based Broadcasting Corporation of China (BCC).

Located in Studio City Macao on the Cotai Strip, the theme park will be built with Gotham City, the home of Batman, as its blueprint.

The park will house a 130-meter-tall Ferris wheel, the tallest in Asia, and a 5,000-capacity recreational center.

Studio City Macao is Asia's first leisure resort to integrate TV and film production facilities, retail, gaming and hotels.

Macao is known as the Las Vegas of Asia due to its numerous casinos.
