Quarantined medical workers discharged after return from Liberia

A team of 82 Chinese medical workers, who had fought the Ebola virus in Liberia, were given the all clear on Thursday after showing no signs of the virus for 21 days, military sources said.

They were the second batch of a 164-member team that arrived in Monrovia, Liberia's capital, on Nov. 15. The first group were given the all clear on Feb. 6.

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) medical team, treated at least 64 patients between Dec. 5 and Jan. 19, including five confirmed with Ebola, according to the Chongqing-based Third Military Medical University of PLA.

They were replaced by another 150-member PLA team.
