The construction of three subway lines to link the center of Tianjin with the Tianjin Binhai New Area started this month.

Zeng Xianghui, deputy manager of Tianjin Binhai New Area Rail Transit Construction Company, said the three subway lines, covering the Yujiapu area, Sino-Singapore Eco-City and Hangu district, will play a significant role in boosting the integrated development between center of the city and the Binhai New Area.

According to Zeng, only one subway line operates to provide partial access to the Binhai New Area.

The integrated transport program also covers the Yujiapu railway station, which is another important transportation hub on the extension line of Beijing-Tianjin high-speed railway, and it will help boost the development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province.
